Oversees the storage and distribution operations. Directs employees engaged in receiving, storing, issue, shipment and distribution of a variety of bin and bulk materials, equipment, and commodities using automated and manual material moving equipment, devices, and systems.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on weekly or monthly bases.
Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract.
Uses DSS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
Understand and meet the productivity goals associated with assigned functional area / process.
Communicate to Compliance Team (Inventory, Customer Service, and Quality Control) system discrepancies that cannot be resolved.
Utilize e-mails to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information.
Communicate in a professional manner with all work areas and levels of the Distribution Center.
Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals.
Follows established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Job Breakdown sheets (JBS)and Technical Manuals.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Adhere to Government and Company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Warehouse Management Plan, Inventory Control Plan/Stock Readiness, QC Plan & workload requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Successful completion of WMS training, OSHA compliance, DLA SOP training, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) Part II, Cargo Movement Training, Hazardous Material Storage, and DLAD 5025.30, DLA One Book, Hazardous Material Training for Packaging and Transportation Personnel Process Guidance.
Experience shall include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in distribution and warehousing using DSS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS

Possess a valid Driver's License
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language
Training and experience processing Hazardous Material a plus
Military or DLA Distribution experience preferable
Experience with Hazardous Materiel Storage and Shipments a plus
Possessing a Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is a plus.
