Ships and receives hardgoods, loads and unloads gas cylinders, and arranges for delivery of cylinders and hardgoods. Stocks shelves, steel racks, counters, and tables with merchandise and maintains showroom displays. Obtains or transfers merchandise requested by customers to and from other locations. Answers customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. Accepts payment and makes change. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers and assists in loading and unloading cylinders. Involved in the filling or trans-filling of cryogenic dewars onsite.


  • Communicates by phone and in person with customers, sales staff, store managers, and others, inquiring about and providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.

  • Establishes and maintains good customer relations.

  • Maintains neat, clean, and professional personal appearance.

  • Coordinates with purchasing department any product shortages or outages.

  • Ensures all administrative and accounting related procedures are strictly observed.

  • Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed.


  • Operates forklift and other equipment as required.

  • Performs general housekeeping duties as required.


  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

  • Reliable transportation to be able to work at any branch on a scheduled day.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs.

  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time (up to 8 hours) required; frequent bending, occasional climbing, and kneeling required.

  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets (MSDS).

  • Must be able to work occasional overtime when necessary.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.

  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.


  • Setup and promotion of welding equipment and processes.

  • Some experience in handling compressed gases.

  • Customer service or sales experience.

  • Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system.

We have an exciting contract opportunity in the South San Francisco area for a Clinical Coding Specialist II to join a leading biotherapeutics client. \n \n \n \n Clinical Coding Specialist II \n \n \n \n The Senior / Clinical Coding Specialist position is within Clinical Data Management in our growing Biometrics team and offers the prospect of growth and development within this world class facility. The mission of the Thesaurus Management team is to support Safety Analysis, by providing quality coding strategies and deliverables to assure patient safety. \n \nAs a Clinical Coding Specialist your primary responsibility will be to oversee the coding of medical terms from clinical trials and drug safety reports to standard Medical or Drug Dictionary terminology. You will be required to support the identification of unclear terms and send questions to the reporters. You will have the ability to advise on data collection, identify and resolve study coding issues and discuss with Clinical Science or Drug Safety as appropriate. \nThis role will allow you to establish and maintain relationships with clinical study teams to discuss coded data handling processes and coding-related issues, and requires you to be office-based in South San Francisco. \n \nThis exciting position will also provide you with the opportunity to develop and deliver functional training on processes and coding guidelines to data management, study teams, cross-functional groups, service providers, monitors and investigators. \n \nResponsibilities \nMaintaining dictionary databases to ensure safety data is coded consistently in accordance with corporate standards and meets regulatory requirements. \nProvides coding expertise to study teams including protocol review, CRF selection and coding strategies for data collection. \n \nIdentifies inadequate, ambiguous or unclear medical terms/medications and generates coding queries as needed \n \nConducts clinical literature searches to address coding issues and/or to enable coding process \n \nPerforms QC on medical coding for accuracy and consistency and ensures it conforms to corporate and regulatory standards for submission \n \nIdentifying and initiating requests for new medical terms and/or changes to the dictionary hierarchy. \nResponding to questions from Drug Safety or Clinical Science regarding coding deliverables \nLeading or participating in the local functional/cross-functional implementation of best practices and process improvement initiatives. \nEffectively communicating ideas, project goals and status of work and independently presenting at department meetings. \nSetting targeted timeframes for deliverables and anticipating potential scenarios that may delay timelines.
