We have showrooms and manufacturing facilities across the Northwest in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota.
About the Warehouse Specialist Position
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for processing orders and for safely handling and transporting material to and from designated storage areas and assisting with maintaining accurate inventory control. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager and take daily direction from the Shop Supervisor.
Some of the Requirements for the Warehouse Specialist
Core functions of this warehouse position include:
Efficiently load and unload shuttle and LTL trucks.
Receive, unpack, and check incoming material against invoices or bill of lading to verify items and quantities received as well as noting shortages and or damages.
Transport inbound inventory to specified areas.
Build wooden skids in accordance with design specifications.
Package LTL and out of region customer shipments.
Stage outbound shipments as well as local deliveries for faster turnaround for the local deliveries.
Enter data into Excel spreadsheet
Perform quarterly inventory spot counts.
Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain records, keep floors and storage areas clean and orderly.
This position requires the following skills and knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of forklift experience with regular daily use
Ability to read and comprehend invoices, bill of ladings and daily paper work
Proven customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Good decision making, extremely organized, strong attention to detail, keeping track of multiple tasks while prioritizing projects are a must.
Exceptional written and verbal skills.
Confident in taking initiative, independent of direct supervision.
Perform as part of a team while maintaining a positive work environment.
Ability to operate effectively in a high-paced environment with rapidly evolving resources, materials and solutions.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 80 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to stand and/or walk on a concrete floor in a warehouse environment through entire shift.
Work Environment: Job is an hourly non-exempt position primarily working day shift Monday through Friday with seasonal half day Saturday and approved overtime as needed. The hours of this position will correspond with logistic schedule and delivery of inventory - may be a 7 a.m. or 8:30 starting time.
