Warehouse Selector

Choice is seeking a reliable individual for a temp-to-perm position as a food processor and picker/packer. The ideal candidate must be able to process products in a cold environment.

Shift: 6am to 2:30pm (week starts on Sunday with Saturday off and either Tues or Wed off)

Pay Rate: $18.75 ($750 weekly)

After training - $52,000 - $75,000 which is paid on an incentive basis (per case picked).

Duties:

• Stage items correctly for loading
• Use a pallet jack to pick orders
• Stacks pallets according to specifications for food safety
• Inventory counts, report damaged products
• Assemble parcels according to purchase orders
• Maintain products in a temperature control
• Maintain safe weight distribution in trucks by properly stacking and wrapping pallets.
• Ensure that the products are kept under temperature control

Required skills and abilities:

• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Heavy lifting 50 to 80 pounds
• 3+ Experience in working in a distribution and warehouse foods
• Able to work in a cold environment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 50 to 80 pounds
• Able to work for short periods in cooler and freezer
• Able to respond and see dangerous situations

Minimum Selector Requirements:

• Able to operate pallet jack, forklift, RF scanner
• Proper stacking and wrapping of pallets
• Able to read in English purchase orders and understand directions
