Warehouse Operator

Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Operator for their Ogden, NY facility. The Warehouse Operator, under moderate supervision, picks and prepares orders for shipping using a Radio Frequency (RF) device, loads and unloads trucks, and adheres to warehouse procedures and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Load and unload carrier vehicles receiving/delivering goods and materials for the warehouse, ensuring correct item counts per supplier packing list and BOL

• Operate forklift in multi-level racking system

• Customer order processing using RF device- pick, palletize and shrink wrap items for shipping using proper procedures for weight and hazards

• Locate, condense and maintain product in storage areas per RF device in a neat and orderly fashion

• Maintain safety awareness in and around work areas, observe and report potential areas of concern, and wear/use appropriate safety equipment

EDUCATION/ SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years sit down forklift experience
• 2 years warehouse/shipping experience in manufacturing environment

SKILLS:

• Strong ability to read and comprehend English

• Manual dexterity

• Ability to multitask

• Knowledge of basic mathematics

• Ability to problem solve

• RF scanning device knowledge preferred but not necessary

• Basic computer knowledge
