The Warehouse Associate position is the heart of our distribution centers. This position is responsible for receiving, stocking and loading shipments for distribution. As a Warehouse Associate you will focus on the loading and unloading of tires from trucks. You will be responsible for pulling the correct tires to fill orders and putting away tires in the appropriate location in the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading by hand tires into a truck or trailer

  • Operate a forklift, pallet rider or other equipment to move tires around to the correct location within a warehouse

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Counts pallet quantities and verifies correct products are moved to assigned dock doors

  • Stacks lose cardboard from pallets for reuse

  • Inspects trailers for proper loading procedures

  • Other duties as requested or needed


  • Forklift certification highly desirable

  • Experience with RF scanners is preferred

  • Must be able to load and unload tires by hand as needed in a fast pace environment

  • Prior warehouse experience desirable

  • Maintain a current driver's license

  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 75 pounds while bending and twisting

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screen

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-07T00:00 Purpose of Position The Warehouse Logistics Manager is primarily responsible for managing shipping, receiving, warehouse assembly, and ancillary receiving and shipping teams (~25 people). This position partners with assembly managers and spare parts business managers to receive and ship out complete orders for the entire facility in a safe, timely, efficient manner. This leader will be responsible for overseeing a team of clerks, warehouse operators, and assemblers. This role will develop and execute a comprehensive material flow, shipping and warehousing plan designed to exceed customer requirements while keeping an eye on cost savings, inventories and productivity efficiencies to improve results. The Warehouse Logistics Manager will also be responsible for: * Managing off site warehouse capacity and cost; * Maintaining business relationships with logistics provider for domestic and international shipments. * Partnering with internal suppliers to drive rapid order completion to meet customer delivery dates * Management of warranty returns, RMA, material detention teams This position will be based out of Gilbarco Veeder-Root's (the "Company") corporate headquarters in Greensboro, NC; supporting the global operations function of Gilbarco, North America. Key Responsibilities * Material receiving value stream (receipt to internal delivery). * Material shipment value stream (finished goods to delivery to customer). * Manage clerks and warehouse operators through directing work effort and priorities. * Implement cycle counting programs and root cause corrective actions based on results. * Daily management of safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory metrics.; including identify and implement cost / quality / inventory improvement actions. * Frequently lead continuous improvement workshops to Implement and sustain a total culture change with emphasis on lean transformation of our processes to drive out waste, improve quality, delivery and cost. This includes utilization of lean operations methods and other lean concepts such as 5s, Kaizens,Kanban Systems and Problem Solving tools, etc * Work with Supply Chain Management team to help develop / strengthen ability to determine optimal stocking levels in MRP, KanBans, * Lead annual physical inventory for warehouse and finished goods as well as monthly (Saturday morning) finished goods inventory cycle counts. * Rationalize and improve warehouse logistics processes to seamlessly integrate to 2015 ERP System Go Live Relationships * Frequent, direct process owner leadership with supervisors, factory leadership, customer service, shipping providers, product marketing team. * Direct reporting relationship with Director of Materials who reports to Plant Manager. * Global Supply Chain team and operations leadership and executive teams.
