Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Reports to: Department Manager

Pay Class: Full-time Pay Type: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate direct reports, setting goals that are measurable and attainable, providing feedback and direction to the functional areas by completing performance evaluations; assist in developing the leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned tasks.

• Evaluate performance against production targets and adjust resource allocation as needed to optimize the quality and efficiency of the operation.

• Identify problems in the production process and guide improvement plans, shift scheduling, overtime level, and training.

• Provide hands on knowledge and task management to assigned employees while exhibiting experienced leadership skills during daily operations.

• Ensure all aged work units are processed and worked within the guidelines set by the NIC Department Manager.

• Interviewing, hiring, and training hourly employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Facilitate daily team meetings to set clear goals and expectations to achieve operational goals.

• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Job Specification

• High School or general education degree (GED). Associates/ BA degree in supply chain, logistics or relative field highly preferred.

• Demonstrated work experience in production supervision.

• Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.

• Proficient in WMS systems and RF Scan Gun.

• Knowledgeable of OSHA requirements/regulations.

• Knowledgeable of MS office applications to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
