3rd Shift: Sunday through Thursday 9:00pm-5:30am

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for distribution of product and materials in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity, as well as the completeness and accuracy of all orders and transactions processed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for a clean and safe work area.

  • Reads and interprets a variety of stage plans, pick lists and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) or WI's (Work Instructions).

  • Accurately records information on discrete jobs; operates bar coding and other computerized equipment.

  • Operation of material handling equipment (RF devices, label machines, weight scales, & some powered equipment such as forklift, picker or pallet jacks, etc.)

  • Utilizes RF device to pick material from warehouse stores accounts, deboxes and labels material, weight counts material to a work order, and transfers material to manufacturing.

  • Conducts quality inspection of correct part number and lot number. Follows procedures to ensure accurate transfers, transactions and labeling.

  • Responsible for ensuring all documentation on both the Sterile Load forms and Non-Sterile is completed.

  • Prepares sterile load shipments at site locations where required.

  • Performs various receiving duties, including unloading and loading trailers, performing the receiving functions into the Oracle system and the put away of inspected material.

  • Participate in cycle counts and bay audits for inventory management.

  • Perform various data entry transactions, i.e. WIP Issue or Transfer, etc. to create a smooth work flow process.

  • Perform various duties such as cleaning, processing returns, QA transfers and scrapping materials.

  • Accurate stage counts.

  • Visual inspection of part and lot numbers.

  • Ensure labeling accuracy.

  • Change fork truck batteries (at site locations where required) and do battery maintenance.

  • Manages in order to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements

  • This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to actively communicate with Warehouse Coordinator and/or Warehouse Manager. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or GED Level of Degree in the general education field of study preferred

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Valid Driver's License may be required

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Education documentation is required. Any other licenses or registrations to Professional Societies are to be provided by the candidate at his/her discretion.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions is required.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work with warehouse power equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet trucks, pickers)

  • Ability to read, write and compute basic math.

  • Excellent hand and eye coordination.

  • Demonstrated decision making skills and effective problem solving abilities.

  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.

  • For all on-the-job injuries or accidents, must notify manager/supervisor immediately.

  • Exposure to Manufacturing Clean Room and Warehouse environment

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35lbs

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs

  • Ability to regularly stand and walk to perform production tasks. Required to perform repetitive movement while demonstrating proficient hand and eye coordination, hand dexterity and good vision.

  • Continual attention to the accuracy of documentation
