POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the Thorne Research Warehouse facility, as assigned, in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all coordination with other company departments to support meeting company production goals.
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT employee.
DIRECT/TOTAL REPORTS: 5+ / 20+
RESPONSIBILITIES - Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.
Coordinates the day to day operations of the Inventory Management team to ensure the accurate and timely receipt of production and MRO materials, fulfillment of production work orders, and other items in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Leads a high-performance team, developing and strengthening staff and providing ongoing coaching and feedback. Develops teamwork with other departments, communicates goals to the department, sets the pace and is proactive.
Demonstrates the ability to provide ongoing written and oral direction and clarity to direct reports.
Continually updates leadership on the overall accuracy and efficacy of the inventory management process, setting and accomplishing team/department goals, and the condition of material handling equipment.
Coordinates physical movement of materials among Thorne and OCM warehouse and productions facilities.
Ensures materials are properly labeled, segregated, and stored per SOPs at all times.
Conducts warehouse audits to ensure facilities are audit-ready at all times.
Ensures proper labeling, storage, and disposition of non-conforming materials.
Coordinates with other departments to ensure all necessary information and tools are available to the Inventory Management/Distribution team, as well as resolving issues that may arise which affect the operational productivity of the department.
Ensures training and certification programs are current and reviewed on a timely basis (including safety training and forklift certification for applicable employees). Monitors employees' progress throughout their training to ensure they reach required certification levels in a timely manner.
Ensures the cleanliness and organizational structure of the warehouse.
Ensures the cleanliness and organizational structure of the warehouse, using industrial best practices and for adherence to all Company and OSHA safety standards
Ensures accurate information of Thorne inventory, including overseeing inventory integrity, cycle counts, inventory reports, inventory transfers and adjustments, cost evaluations, and general ledger codes.
Ensures the proper maintenance of Inventory Management/Distribution equipment and, if necessary, coordinates with maintenance for repairs.
Builds and leads a highly performing team, secure the best talent, develop and strengthen staff and future leaders, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
What You Need:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 5 years' related experience and/or training.
Understands warehousing and inventory management principles.
Experience in building and leading high-performance teams is desirable.
