Reports to: Director of Operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Manages all functions of shipping and receiving including processing domestic and international orders on UPS/Fedex software.
2.Responsible for the timely shipping and shipment accuracy of orders to a wide variety of customers and also monitors internal freight reports to predict inbound shipment arrivals.
3.Investigate/resolve customer service and shipping and receiving discrepancies diplomatically and professionally and follows and improves existing policies and procedures.
4.Maintain a safe and organized workplace in all work areas. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, shipping and safety requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
5.Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
6.Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly activities as required to provide timely fulfillment and shipping of all orders
7.Define all operational processes such that appropriate KPIs are determined and monitored to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
8.Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
9.Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
10. Responds to customer inquiries regarding products and product delivery in a customer focused manner.
11. Controls inventory levels and maintains high level of inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts; reconciling inventory in case of discrepancies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
College degree; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated and validate-able experience in the management of physical distribution complexes that link information systems designed specifically for warehouse management, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and demand transmission.
Broad and in-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and techniques
Above average computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
LANGUAGE and TEAM SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations to determine if company products may be impacted.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with co-workers and customers
Be a team player in all relationships with co-workers and customers.
Frequently interface with the sales, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, remote managers (Corporate and sister plants) and the Director of Operations to keep them updated on any distribution / sales issues, trends or causes impacting complete and timely customer fulfillment

The noise level in the work environment is consistent with that of a warehouse with powered equipment, but not to a level requiring hearing protection.
