Summary:
At Harcros Chemicals Inc., an employee-owned company with a rich legacy in specialty chemical manufacturing and distribution, we're continuously expanding. With 2 manufacturing plants and 27 distribution facilities across 20 states, we're seeking a dedicated Warehouse Manager professional to join our team to assist with opportunities. Reporting to the District Manager, this role will manage warehouse operations and oversee truck driver activities for the Company, either directly or through subordinate staff.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Implements operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling, and warehouse inventory management.
Coordinates driver routes and schedules, ensuring efficient delivery operations.
Conducts regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment, arranging repairs and replacements as needed.
Oversees maintenance of trucks, trailers, and warehouse equipment.
Collaborates with department heads to align warehouse activities with production, sales, and other functions.
Ensures compliance with safety protocols and facility security measures.
Participates in safety training and emergency response planning.
Assists in customer deliveries and problem resolution as necessary.
Maintains records and schedules for equipment maintenance and safety inspections such as fire sprinklers and extinguishers, drumming unit, compressors, HVAC systems, forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
Identifies and manages capital improvement projects in coordination with the District Manager.
Upholds high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
Manages the tote fleet and ensures accurate container returns and maintenance.
Maintains bulk tanks, piping, and equipment to ensure continuous and safe operations.
Ensures compliance with DOT regulations for secured shipments.
Meets customer requirements for deliveries, including labeling and documentation.
ACD Document Coordination. Responsible for complying with and executing ACD regulations. Corrective & preventative actions, non-conformance & audit paperwork.
Maintains ACD reports and forms.
Office procedures such as preparation of payrolls, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies, computer entry.
Other job duties may be assigned.
Job duties may also result in:
Generate, handle, and/or inspect hazardous waste and hazardous waste storage.
Respond or manage hazardous waste spills and incidents based on the site's emergency action or contingency plan.
Prepare and manage hazardous waste records such as manifests, inspection logs, waste determination and other reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises a team of 1-5 warehouse employees and 1-3 truck drivers.
Ensure organizational policies and legal requirements to employees.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
3+ years related experience and/or training.
One year of supervisory experience.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to pass DOT physical examination.
Certifications:
Commercial driver's license (all classes) required.
Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement or ability to obtain certification.
Forklift Operation experience preferred.

Physical Capabilities & Requirements:
Physical requirements include lifting and moving various weights up to 100 pounds.
Physical requirements will also include standing or sitting for long periods of time.
Visual abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
Work environment includes exposure to outdoor weather conditions and mechanical equipment.
Occasional exposure to chemicals and noise.
Occasionally work at elevated, precarious heights and could be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic or caustic chemicals.
