Position Summary:

The primary function of the Warehouse Manager is to be responsible for all areas of warehouse maintenance, product storage and the management of warehouse employees. They will provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.

  • Manage the daily operations of a warehouse.

  • Oversee and lead warehouse personnel.

  • Monitor, maintain, and promote high standards of production activities.

  • Hold team accountable for employee attendance, production standards, and other duties as assigned.

  • Motivate and discipline staff as needed.

  • Develop and train new team members.

  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to share interdepartmental communications in a productive and timely manner. For example:

  • Outbound-Sales/Customers

  • Inbound-Purchasing/Vendors

  • Human Resources/Benefits

  • General announcements or housekeeping

  • Organize the warehouse and manage bin locations.

  • Manage inventory accuracy by monitoring daily warehouse activities, load checking, cycle counts, stock rotation, non-stock items, returns for credit and the unloading of shipments.

  • Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service.

  • Ensure that equipment is maintained to company operating standards.

  • Hold supervisors to a high standard of professionalism and proper communication with their teams.

  • Be able to perform all warehouse functions and cover for supervisors as needed.

  • Liaison between internal team members/departments and warehouse personnel.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

  • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Will frequently move about inside the office and warehouse.

  • Must be able to operate basic office and warehouse machinery.

  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in. these situations.

  • Constantly working in a warehouse environment.

Required Cognitive Skills:

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.

  • Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.

  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.

  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement and initiative.
