Chicago based consumer products distributer is expanding and needs to add a Warehouse Manager to the facility
Our client is expanding and as a result is creating a new role to manage the operation
The role will manage up to 50 employees including 2 supervisors and 2 shifts

Bachelors degree or equivalent 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
Must have experience shipping and receiving products for retail customers. Experience with Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot or simila retailers is preferred
Prior supervisory experience is required with at least 20+ employees.
Background in the operation of a large distribution center with a strong emphasis on quality to the customer is preferred.
Proficiency in WMS platforms, MS Excel, automated conveyor systems, pick to light systems, and RF driven applications.
Able to lead and implement lean Operations, Six Sigma, Kanban, and Kaizen systems.
Additional experience regarding metrics, capacity planning, value added services, seasonal work forces, and safety.
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language required; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Ability to lead change
Manage shipping & receiving operations for the Downers Grove distribution center
Prepare daily management reports and report required metrics on a timely basis.
Manage relationships with suppliers to support shipping and receiving operations.
Work with both domestic and international suppliers
Lead, direct, mentor and develop employees
Manage a very fast paced operation that measures KPI's and develops / implements new CI programs
Foster positive working relationships. Responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee relations matters.
Provide training, equipment, and guidance to warehouse personnel.
Manage inventory control, including cycle counts and warehouse organization
