Warehouse Manager

Duties

Implements approved work, training, physical layout, security, and safety programs. Directs activities of assigned employees. Works in close concert with managers and supervisors to insure optimum supply support. Initiates or processes requests for tools, equipment, parts, supplies and materials. Researches manufacturers' catalogs and price lists. Coordinates with Purchasing Agent or his Representatives and/ or contacts local vendors to determine availability and cost of items. Oversees and performs work involving ordering, picking up, signing for, inventorying, posting, stocking, storing, and issuing items. May be required to compile, compute, and record maintenance and repair cost data. Submits required reports. Maintains files and records. May perform Dispatcher duties. Demonstrates knowledge and use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and related documentation procedures. Initiates work orders. Regularly attends required safety, job related and certification training classes as required. Subject to be on call 24/7. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications

1). High School Diploma or GED.

2). Valid State Vehicle Operator's License with class applicable to assigned position.

3). Three (3)years of progressively more responsible training and experience performing bookkeeping and clerical tasks pertaining to the receipt, issue, stocking and inventory control of tools, equipment, parts. supplies, and materials.

Any higher class for which eligible and qualified

Physical Requirements: Most tasks involve the ability to exert medium/heavy physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of medium weight (10-50 pounds). Some tasks may involve extended periods of time at workstation. Some tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Some tasks may require perception and discrimination of color, sound, odor, and visual ability. Job must be performed with or without accommodations.

Work Environment: Work is performed outdoors and/or indoors with exposure to noise, dirt, grease, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, fumes, insects, chemicals, inclement weather, machinery with moving parts requiring use of protective devices and computer screens.
