Warehouse Logistics Manager

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Manages and directs all warehouse activities including daily operations, facility and grounds maintenance, security, budgeting and compliance. Manages the warehouse ensuring the receipt, coordination and safety of goods coming through a warehouse.

Also ensures the correct loading of containers, confirming all deadlines. Continually refines process to improve efficiency and production. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Manage the regional facility on a day-to-day basis, direct all operational activities to assist sales revenue and direct cost optimization with the objective of maximizing the profitability of the business. Establish and maintain procedures to ensure we operate safely and in compliance with all regulations of any variety, including OSHA compliance, FMC regulations. Safe and timely carriage of freight, handling of hazardous cargos within DOT and IMCO regulations.

Ensures maximization all loads, ensures loading and unloading is done in a timely manner, without damage. Prepares container delivery paperwork. Ensure compliance with all hazardous regulations (IMDG, 49 CFR) Conduct regular department meetings to address CFS operational and safety issues Train, mentor and develop supervisors and other department staff.

Successfully manages warehouse projects / initiatives and achieve desired results / objectives and high client satisfaction within budget and schedule. Tracks productivity to meet company’s requirements and maximizes operational efficiency. Trains warehouse team, ensuring completion and proper execution of work procedures, including employee development and performance appraisal.

Manages employee life-cycle activities; onboarding, reviews, disciplinary action, injury reporting, leave management, terminations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change while improving efficiencies and processes Must have excellent People Management and Time Management skills and abilities Solid interpersonal skills to effectively interact at all levels across functions Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Goal-oriented with proven record of self-motivation and achievement Uses creativity to seek quality solutions and process improvements Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff Team player: willing to roll up sleeves and work if needed Demonstrated teamwork skills across entire organization Must have supervised at least 15 team members Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs Demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities Ability to conceptualize and think strategically Proactive with strong analytical skills Related Transportation experience WE ARE VANGUARD We are an industry stalwart and a true innovator.
