JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Leader is to support the Fulfillment Supervisor by overseeing and leading primarily in the McAllen Modification Center. This roles involves managing records, generating selected reports, or serving as lead over one or more assigned areas of the Warehouse. Daily tasks involve daily management of processing, routing, tracking, and maintaining orders in multiple ERP systems. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for weekly report outs to Fulfillment Center leadership ensuring all actionable items are executed in line with customers' expectations. You must have the ability to problem-solving skills, comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

To ensure your success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate a forklift or other material handling equipment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of production personnel.

  • Motivates the team and ensures that work is assigned and openly communicates with team members.

  • Delegates tasks and removes obstacles and addresses or escalates issues.

  • Enforce department safety guidelines and company Policy, working with department to address/resolve any disciplinary issues.

  • Monitor, analyze and report out of KPI/VDM data and ability to communicate needs of the business to site leadership.

  • Cross Functional - Trained in all areas of Distribution

  • Ensure department equipment is maintained and proper shutdown procedures are followed

  • Communicates with contacts both within and outside of function; sometimes has responsibility communicating to parties outside of the organization.

  • Performing 5S audits and implementing improvements. May lead Kaizen events.

  • Maintain working knowledge of ERP Systems, Distribution Tools/Network, Shipping and Scheduling Tools

  • Proactively coordinate customer service to ensure delivery commitments are met.

  • Responsible for daily planning of MRO and Raw Materials in prioritizing of work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals for assigned team.

  • May assist with warehouse buyer activities.

  • May assist with daily management of processing, routing, tracking, and maintaining orders in multiple ERP systems

  • Responsible for tracking department "line level" metrics (Safety, Quality, Throughput).

  • Performs cycle counts.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 year experience driver Forklift

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a production or warehouse environment

  • To ensure success, utilizing various forms of communication not limited to phone, email, Microsoft Teams.

  • Minimum 2 years' experience on Oracle or Other MRP System.

  • Superior Communication Skills

  • Team Oriented; Coach

  • Ability to work self-guided with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with limited Supervision

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.

Language: English (Spanish/English)

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position is done in a Warehouse environment typically indoors but may require access to outdoors for work at times. This position requires the ability to drive a forklift: Reach Truck, Order Picker and/or Turret Truck. This position requires the ability to work at heights of 25 feet or more secured by a harness. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use fingers and hands, handle or feel controls or product; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry product. Frequently lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. is required. This position also requires a person to handle different temperatures as the Warehouse is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter.
