Warehouse Lead

Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Lead that can provides support to the Distribution Center, DC, management team to ensure that that warehouse functions efficiently from our warehouse facility located in Algona, WA.

As a Warehouse Lead, this candidate will be responsible to support the Warehouse Supervisor, operations, and the team. Will be over seeing and assign to load and unload trucks, fill orders accurately, move finished product and provide excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures that warehouse is opened and closed at scheduled times.

• Working with management, supports in assigning daily tasks, scheduling and ensuring that work is done accurately and timely.

• Assist with training new warehouse team members.

• Assist in ordering inventory.

• Receives, stores, loads, and ensures all products and materials are accounted for and kept in excellent condition.

• Unloads trailers that arrive at the center and checks trailer loads for accuracy.

• Maintains an accurate daily inventory balances.

• Uses a handheld computer to balance the daily inventory (warehouse inventory, daily orders, extra orders, return to stock, trailer loads).

• Accepts and checks return to stock product and stale and damaged products.

• Maintains cleanliness of warehouse, including the restroom(s).

• Keeps warehouse organized including product rotation.

• Assists with month-end inventory counts.

• Work with management and fellow associates to ensure Food Safety programs are followed.

• Performs other duties as assigned that will impact and support the overall outcome of the Company and department objectives.

• Pay Rate: $26.43/hour

Job Responsibilities:

• At least 3 years of related experience working in a Warehouse. Prior experience using an Enterprise Resource System such as D365 is highly preferred.

• Experience leading and directing others is preferred.

• Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center.

• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Requires basic math skills.

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, load, and transport light to medium weight products.

• Ability to drive a forklift and/or use a hand jack may be required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.

• Requires require an ability to walk, sit, talk, bend, stand, twist, push, and pull frequently and for long periods.

• Requires use of hands for simple grasping.

• Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times and to report any unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor.

• Reports food, office or operational safety problems to a supervisor or manager for initiating action.

• Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules

During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours. In addition to PTO, Utz offers 6 paid company holidays each year.
