We are looking for a 2nd Shift warehouse Lead for Sabert in Sayreville, NJ! Bilingual in English and Spanish! The schedule is Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm.

Location: 2288 Main St Ext, Sayreville, NJ (RDC Warehouse)

BASIC FUNCTION

  • Provide hands on leadership throughout the warehouse operation by training, monitoring, and evaluating assigned personnel and actively lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures the appropriate use of safety devices and equipment, general housekeeping, and maintains a constant vigilance for hazardous conditions and practices.

  • Completes equipment " Forklift Safety / Operational Checklist " prior to use.

  • Active participant / representative on facility safety committee.

  • Active participant in BBS safety audits

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor / Manager in applying skills, knowledge, experience, available manpower, and equipment to obtain the most favorable cost and quality of workmanship.

  • Ensures the quality and accuracy of product in accordance to completion of orders.

  • Assist in the training and maintaining of an efficient work force in accordance with job requirements, work levels and schedules.

  • Assist in daily enforcement of NSF Audit operating criteria and the compliance thereof.

  • Possesses a thorough understanding of SAP and the applications that are associated with the warehouse:

  • Order Downloads

  • Order Modifications: Carrier / Change Ship Qty.

  • Goods Issued

  • Customer Returns

  • Acts in a supervisory capacity in the event of a Supervisor absence.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Through the coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor / Manager, organizes and assigns work in such a way that both quality and productivity ( CPM ) are optimized.

  • Assist Warehouse Inventory Control Specialist / Supervisor / Manager. with ensuring accuracy of inventory and inventory management.

  • Trains assigned personnel to accurately and consistently use warehouse management systems ( SAP )

  • Trains assigned personnel in safe and efficient use of material handling equipment as well as charging and watering procedures to ensure maximization of battery charge / life.

  • Knowledge / Ability to create Order download / Revise Order when necessary / Goods Issue shipments / Process Customer Returns

  • Follow the warehouse outbound schedule to prioritize order picking sequence

  • Identify and communicate warranted improvements associated with system enhancements.

  • Assist in ensuring all available options are exercised in product substitutions / repack to avoid customer backorders.

  • Coordinate with trafficking personnel both inbound and outbound moves in the effort to maintain dock organization and efficiency.

  • Maintain workable knowledge of staged orders at all times and disposition thereof.

  • Ensure a smooth transition between the first shift and second shift operations.

  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and bin locations, as well as its numerical system with regards to unit of measure

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with co-workers and CSR personnel on a professional level.

ENVIROMENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Indoor work environment with both hot / humid or cold temperature changes based upon seasonal climate

  • Will work around moving machinery such as power industrial trucks

  • Must wear steel toe shoes and other Personal Protection Equipment as specified by management personnel

  • Extensive standing / walking while assigned to various warehouse operational task and assignments.

  • Heavy Work : Ability to continually lift / grasp / reach product weighing up to 75 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS ( Education/ Experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience

  • Basic computer knowledge preferred: Microsoft Office Outlook

  • Ability to operate power industrial equipment: Reach Truck / Order Selector / Forklift

  • Five years experience in a high volume fast moving distribution center with RF bar code
