Warehouse Lead- Milwaukee, WI

Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated individual who is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the direction and coordination of the entire warehouse operations.

Hours and Wages:

• Available shift options:

• Monday-Friday, 3:00PM start time

• Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00AM start time

• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week

• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week

• Starting wage: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors attendance of warehouse staff for operations productivity

• Assigns positions in the warehouse for various shifts

• Ensures trailer cuts are made for timely delivery to branches

• Communicates with warehouse staff and other management to resolve discrepancies

• Manages security of yard and building

• Holds weekly meetings to communicate goals and assignments

• Disciplines and coaches warehouse staff as needed and records with documentation

• Assists stacking and sorting to ensure flow of freight

• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam

• Previous leadership and warehouse operations experience preferred

• Must have the skills to lead and motivate a large team

• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50lbs repetitively. Some overhead lifting is required

• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work with a full range of motion with no limits to standing, squatting, stair climbing, overhead lifting, walking, and lifting freight weighing up to 100 pounds

• Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous materials, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
