Peraton is actively recruiting for a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to help support our customer in the White Sands Complex (WSC). You'll be responsible for working with the WSC Logistics Department Lead and the Subject Matter Experts to tie each part/spare located in the WSC warehouses to a system/asset under the current NASA SENSE contract located in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The WSC Logistics Department is a fast pace professional work environment that supports 3 NASA tracking stations that operate 24/7. WSC Logistics operates Monday through Friday processing incoming/outgoing shipments, stocking/issuing parts, mail pickup/delivery, annual material inventory, excess/disposal, mail pickup/delivery, and government property management. Due to the 24/7 operation some or all of the WSC Logistics staff could be called upon for support after normal operating hours.
What you'll do
Identifying all the WSC parts/spares with a system/asset
Updating the SCNS MAXIMO data base
Identify parts/spares with labels
Re-locate parts/spares to maintain stock continuity
Adjust stock levels based on lead time and usage
Maintain all stock records hard and soft copies
Ensure ESD compliance
Interface with all warehouse personnel ensuring proper procedures are followed
Ensure all NASA Procedures are followed to maintain contract compliance
Be able to interface directly with the customer and WSC management to ensure open communication and contract compliance
Develop or Modify operating procedures
Maintain accountable records to provide metrics
Process Non Conformance Reports for all Non Conformance material
You'd be a great fit if you have
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related technical field.
In lieu of formal education, 8 years of related experience is allowable.
1+ years' experience in logistics in one or more of the following components:
Prior working experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Access.
The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Knowledge of the MAXIMO and WebFLIS Operating Systems

Knowledge of NSN information process.
Work with little or no supervision
