Role Summary:

The Warehouse & Inventory Specialist supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts. You will coordinate activities in expediting flow of material, parts, and assemblies between areas of production as well as be responsible for cycle counting raw materials, inventory accuracy and organization of warehouse to satisfactory GE standards at a minimum.

Essential Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the management, storage, flow, and inventory accuracy of approximately $6 MUSD of raw material for RMW GE production unit. You will be responsible for stockroom warehouse employees and ensure safety is respected at every level. Critical to be familiar with warehouse activities and inventory management that include cycle counts, receipt of materials, pick and store. EHS and Warehouse Safety focus is essential. You will also be responsible for inputs and accuracy of SAP data relating to warehouse management, variance reports, transfers to inter-departments, back-flush and pick list inventory into SAP accurately. You should have a change mindset and understanding of the essential responsibilities:

As the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist, you will:

  • Understand inventory discrepancies on the root cause

  • Engage cross-functional teams to find solutions for the issues

  • Respect SAP golden rules and work close to the work order closing process, cleaning SAP issues as ZPP0004 and COGI

  • Understand the production flow and requirements to define warehouse strategy

  • Create a culture of basic lean manufacturing concepts as one-piece flow, 5S, zoning, visual management, Andom`s Standard Work, etc.

  • Be capable of defining roles and responsibilities to the team - engaging and encouraging ownership

  • Work closely with team to understand business and financial metrics to enhance individual and team skills

  • Encourage an environment of continuous improvement for all assigned warehouse outputs and processes

  • Combine the ability of work strategically and be hands on

  • Work in various shifts as needed by the management

  • Perform any special assignments assigned by the Materials & Planning Execution Manager


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with SAP

  • Minimum of 3 years of related manufacturing experience, specialist knowledge, or experience in a similar position
