The Warehouse & Inventory Specialist supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom by performing the following duties.
As the Warehouse & Inventory Specialist you will:
Supervise Receiving and Inventory Control employees
Ensure all receipts are properly handled; i.e. quantities correct, part numbers, re-work and purchase order numbers from the shipper match original documents
Properly protect and control all inventory
Ensure inventory data base reflects actual on hand inventory
Identify potential and repeat potential and / or actual inventory problems
Ensure inventory accuracy
Maintain Kanban system
Work closely with the Purchasing Department
Continually strives to reduce inventory and overstock
Support shop parts requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Perform other tasks as assigned
Directly supervise three departments: Inventory, Receiving, and Small Parts Shipping
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Associates Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 year's related manufacturing experience, specialist knowledge, or experience in a similar position
Experience with SAP
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations and warehouse
Familiar with ERP Management and Cycle Count Experience
Ability to make decisions with a sense of urgency
Leadership know how of shaping and driving change
Able to collaborate with the team and lead the warehouse team
Able to communicate with transparency
Intermediate to advanced problem-solving skills
Time Management and meeting facilitation skills
