The Northern California & Nevada (NCN) Region of Airgas USA, LLC., is seeking a Warehouse I VMI Technician/ Class C Delivery Driver to join our team!
Ships and receives hardgoods, loads and unloads gas cylinders, arranges for delivery of cylinders and hardgoods. Stocks shelves, steel racks, counters and tables with merchandise, and maintains warehouse inventory. Obtains or transfers merchandise requested by customers to and from other locations. Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order. Maintains neat, clean and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner.
VMI Vending Duties:
The VMI/Vending Technician will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our vending machine customers to include inventory accuracy and replenishment of vending machines at customer sites, following safe handling practices, efficient order processing & invoicing, working with Branch Manager to maintain inventory stock at the branch to support vending customers. The Site Technician will be the first line Airgas representative with the customer for all vending machine inventory needs, and daily operation of vending machines.
Work with Branch Manager to communicate accuracy of inventory, inventory levels, or operation issues with vending machines at customer sites.
Interface with Customer Service and/ or Branch Manager to inform them of changes, additions, or deletions to delivery points or orders
General upkeep of on-site vending machines, including cleaning, and maintaining inventory in the machine in an orderly fashion.
Generate shipping documents for deliveries
Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Perform general warehouse work, and/or sales counter work as needed when Vending responsibilities are finished each day.
Monitor machine inventory accuracy
Maintain product inventory
Assure flawless execution of the card readers, and machine operation. Report immediately any concerns to Branch Manager.
Approve new delivery points for accessibility and safety
Monitor product consumption and Conduct physical inventory
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Reliable transportation to be able to work at any branch on a scheduled day.
Class C drivers' license with clean driving record.
Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs, and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs.; Prolonged standing, up to 8 hours required. Frequent bending, occasional climbing, kneeling required.
Ability to read and comprehend materiel safety data sheets.
Must be able to work occasional overtime, when necessary.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
If internal, must not have any disciplinary action in past 90 days.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Setup and Operation of Vending equipment and processes
Some experience in handling compressed gases.
Customer service or sales experience
Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system.
