We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. HMF's facilities include a state-of-the-art plant, and R&D facility, as well as warehouse and Corporate functions. We are focused on continued growth and are executing against various initiatives that include additional product lines, new sales channels, greater penetration of our extensive customer relationships, as well as opportunistic acquisitions. Our success is directly dependent on attracting and retaining the best possible talent across our functions. To this end, we are posting for a strong Warehouse Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift.

Summary

Processes receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods and raw materials. Stages materials for production and moves them to / from the production floor. Maintain an environment of safety and foods safety. The hours for this role are from 3:30pm-2am, Monday-Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Off loads all inbound freight and maintains written documentation of the transactions.

  • Verifies accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the materials.

  • Post receipt or movement of any product to NAV ERP system

  • Stages all material needed to successfully mix, produce and package products on all manufacturing lines, ensuring that production is not interrupted for lack of materials

  • Stores or ships all finished goods product from designated production area

  • Takes returns from production and re-racks according to need

  • Notifies Warehouse Lead or Warehouse Supervisor for inspection of incoming product.

  • Rotates product date codes during pulling operations.

  • Maintains inventory accuracy.

  • Maintains safety and sanitation standards.

  • Able to work independently with little direction.

  • Able to perform other duties as directed by Warehouse Lead or Warehouse Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in shipping, receiving

  • Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses.

  • Experience in loading & unloading trucks.

  • Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements.

  • Licensed to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

  • Average computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems

  • Ability to perform basic algebra (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time; must have good vision. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

  • Ability to read, write and take directions in English.

  • Working effectively with co-workers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to withstand working in a cold environment and stand for extended periods of time.
