The person in this role will operate various trucks and other equipment for extended periods of time, over short distances, between company facilities or yards or between company facilities and customer/vendor sites to pick up, transport, and deliver freight.

Specific Goals and Priorities

  • Ensuring prompt, safe, and correct delivery of goods to the customer.

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.

  • Display consistent attention to safety in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Obtaining receipts or signatures for delivered products.

  • Assist in all aspects of warehousing, loading, unloading, securement, and delivery of products.

Activities, Tasks and/or Functions

  • Loading and unloading of materials from trucks.

  • Verifying that quantities of materials for delivery are correct.

  • Verifying delivery instructions, routes, and timing from supervisor.

  • Maintaining logs as required.

  • Reporting vehicle service, defects, or repair status

  • Reporting of any accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicle or delivered products.

  • Interaction with customer and vendor personnel on work/job sites.

  • Willingness to assist in other warehousing or inventory activities as requested.

  • Prompt return to paperwork and other materials.

Physical Requirements

This position requires lifting and loading product ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly during work hours; and pushing/pulling using from 40 - 150 pounds of force, occasionally. It also requires reaching, squatting and bending while delivering products. Unloads pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck, and puts the product in a designated area.

In this role, your keen eye and management ability will keep warehouse functions running smoothly. You will oversee the shipping, storage, and supply of Army National Guard equipment. This includes receiving, inspecting, invoicing, storing, and delivering supplies. You will: ensure that all documents are prepared and organized; maintain automated systems; secure and control weapons and ammunition; and schedule and provide maintenance for weapons. Job Duties * Issue and receive small arms. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Then you will attend eight weeks Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which consists of six weeks of additional training. Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions.
