To load and unload delivery trucks for the company. To drive a delivery truck with the capacity of over 3 tons safely and expeditiously to deliver merchandise to the various store locations. Reports delays or accidents on the road.

Major Responsibilities and Duties Which May Be Considered Essential:
Start, stop, and control the movements of a 3+ ton delivery truck for which a course must be steered to move merchandise around. Must be able to react quickly to dangerous situations on the road to avoid potential accidents.
Stack merchandise onto pallets, move the pallets into the delivery truck and secure the load so there will be no damage done to the merchandise. May have to position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
Make deliveries to, and unload and reload merchandise at each location and return to the distribution center as expeditiously and safely as is possible.
Use common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Deal with variables that occur out of the ordinary and bring them to the attention of the Store Manager.
Perform safety checks of equipment and bring any problems found to the attention of the Distribution Center Manager.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Class A CDL required.
Frequent reaching at all levels to put merchandise on distribution center shelves.
Frequent hand and arm movement to stock shelves and remove merchandise from distribution center shelves.
Constant handling and grasping of merchandise, containers and cartons of merchandise.
Make visual comparisons in shapes and sizes of figures, widths and lengths of lines.
Move hands, fingers and eyes rapidly and accurately in making precise movements with speed.
Bend, kneel, stoop or squat below waist level to remove merchandise from carts and pallets.
Frequently lift 25-60 lbs. from floor to chest. Must be able to frequently lift 5-10 lbs. from floor to 7 feet, and carry merchandise 5-10 lbs. for 5 to 10 feet.
Push/pull pallets of merchandise weighing from 500 to 2000 lbs. frequently.
Read small print and numbers on order forms.
Visually perceive geometric forms, and colors.
