The purpose of the Warehouse - Day - dry position is to perform warehouse duties such as receiving and selecting orders for Will call customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Observe inbound drivers to ensure the proper unloading of dry BEK product shipments, and unload procedures are safely and efficiently followed.

  • Review and evaluate unloaded products to ensure BEK quality is met and maintained.

  • Examine paperwork to ensure appropriate products and quantities match inbound loads, and products are appropriately handled.

  • Select and pick appropriate BEK products for loading onto customer vehicles.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must pass drug screen and physical exam

  • Forklift, pallet jack and mid-rider experience preferred

  • Clean driving record

  • Ability to strictly adhere to safety guidelines

  • Basic reading and spelling skills for completion of paperwork

  • Ability to work in varying climate conditions

  • Able to lift 65+ lb., stoop, kneel, crouch and bend

  • Solid interpersonal skills

  • Enthusiastic self starter

  • Ability to receive and follow directions

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Good communication skills

  • Customer-focused

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent work ethic

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma / GED

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties may be assigned. * Process credits according to company time standards. * Accurately maintain various forms and logs, analyzes data via computer or hand held device and written reports. * Organize items to be returned to vendors. * Operate powered equipment such as forklift/pallet jack/PIR. * Process damaged and expired products. * Restock items returned to the building. * Operate as part of a team; stepping in as needed to ensure the team meets their goals. * Participate in all inventories ensuring paperwork balances with credits. * Following procedures for handling damages, spoils, returns, and out of code merchandise, and issuing customer credits. * Repackaging damages to be resold. * Sorting items according to flow line or pick area, packing items into totes to be re-shelved. * Handling returns to vendors. * Will also be responsible for the location, removal from stock, segregation, marking, and processing of products recalled by vendors. * Other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS * Excellent organizational skills required. * Ability to work in a high speed, production-based environment, able to follow all safety protocols. * Ability to prioritize work load with ever changing priorities and deadlines. * Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, ability to read, write and understand instructions and computerized reports and labels in English; recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. * Must be able to read product codes and information quickly and accurately. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide 3-4 digits. * Ability to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Must be able to recognize malfunctions in equipment and notify Manager. Must be able to use problem solving skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in processes/procedures. * Ability to stand and walk 90% of the shift. Repeatedly required to squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to manually push/pull/move stacks of totes and product on skids weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to climb stairs. Able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required. * Basic to Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office * One year of in an industrial warehouse setting preferred. * Must be able to obtain forklift and powered industrial truck certification.
