Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator opening LYNCHBURG, VA - interviews now!

This position will be responsible for reviewing the daily helper needs provided by the operations and coordinate the daily staffing of helpers. The Coordinator is also responsible for reviewing helper hours for accurate recording of time and assignments. They will work closely with the operation, communicating helper performance and administration of uniforms and tracking helper performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral. Solid working knowledge of MS Office. Ability to interact with people holding different positions as well as different responsibilities.

General Function: * Working Manager that schedules and directs the daily activities of all stockroom personnel, including Shipping, Receiving, and Raw Materials/Saw Operations for all shifts. * Resolves issues concerning general warehouse functions, such as vendor discrepancies, inventory accuracy, over/short and damages, along with return authorizations. * Ensures schedules for shipments are maintained to meet OTD and shipment accuracy. Act as Import/Export Compliance Coordinator assuring correct documentation and procedures are followed and maintained. Primary Responsibilities: * Coordinates / assists with schedule to insure on-time delivery of spares/aftermarket orders and shop orders. * Responsible for part identification and stocking, ensuring all inventory locations are properly organized and maintained. * Responsible for review of department processes and procedures, enforcement of processes and procedure and updating as necessary to promote continuous improvement of the department. * Responsible for execution of cycle counting and inventory accuracy, providing error analysis, corrective programs, etc., in conjunction with the Materials group to achieve inventory accuracy objectives. * Assure packaging and preservation techniques, as defined, are followed, both incoming and outgoing. * Responsible for on-time release of machine work orders and kits, to their various locations by the assembly start date. * Responsible for providing management with performance to due date reports and any associated non-compliance issues. * Responsible for accurate transactions of material in the MRP system to complete work orders & jobs. * Responsible for proper documentation and transactions of shipments, both domestic and international, to assure compliance. * Provides Root Cause / Corrective Actions, as needed for continuous improvement & adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley program policies. * Import & Export knowledge of Harmonized Tariff and Commodity Codes, NAFTA, and other transportation regulations a plus. * Transportation, Freight, and traffic management with application of all relevant commercial carrier requirements to assure timely delivery a plus. * Recommends process, layout and equipment requirements necessary to meet AOP and strategic objectives. * Accountable for providing and fostering a safe work environment with zero accidents. Education: B.S. Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management. Experience: * 5 - 10 years Stockroom/Shipping/Receiving supervisory, or related experience in a leadership role, within a manufacturing production environment. * In depth knowledge of Lean Sigma Tools (5S, Waste Elimination, Pull Production, Visual Management, Standard Work, DMAIC, etc.). Experience leading Kaizen Events or Continuous Improvement Teams to improve processes and resolve issues. * Proven ability to implement continuous improvement, achieve KPIs and foster positive change management * Must possess strong computer skills, excel, word, and business operating systems.
