Primary Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the daily operations of the Central Receiving Warehouse. The technician will assist with the receipt, storage, and distribution of over-weighted newly purchased materials, pick-up and delivery of surplus property via the pick-up truck or box truck, and storage items for the Campus of UNCSA.

Friday 8am

Description of Responsibilities and Duties
Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise.
Coordinate delivery and pick-up of Surplus Property to campus locations as required via a box truck or pick-up truck.
Sort and place materials of items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined specifications such as storage locations and/or delivery locations.
Update surplus property in Asset Panda for inventory and the printing of tags to be placed on property.
Upload surplus requests into the State Surplus Property portal.
Sweep, dust, and mop. Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
And other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
Good communication, organization, time management, and mathematical skills.
Dependable and reliable.
Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required.
Terms of Employment S1 12 month Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Operate hand truck
Operate pallet jack
Ability to lift heavy objects with mechanical assistance
Understand and Follow written procedures
Experience in MS Word and Excel
Must have and maintain a valid NC drivers license
Must past UNCSA Campus Police License Verification to drive State Owned Vehicles
