The Warehouse Clerk will assist and support the warehouse department with daily administrative activities related to branch operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Process billing runs including labeling and including packing lists for cross docking if required

  • Routing of freight orders, including bills of laden preparation and labeling for common carrier shipments

  • Sort freight bills by category, run driver manifests, set delivery appointments, data entry of receiving worksheets and inventory reports

  • Schedule daily order volume, run productivity reports, review data

  • Assist Warehouse Manager with item/bin maintenance

  • Receptionist duties and administrative office duties as needed

  • Interact with purchasing, sales, customer service staff as required

  • Some EDI responsibilities may be necessary

Requirements:

  • High School/GED education required

  • Ability to perform clerical and administrative duties with speed and accuracy under limited supervision

  • Minimum of 2 years of receiving experience in a warehouse/distribution environment is preferred

  • AS400/iSeries experience preferred, particularly inventory/receiving functions

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and WMS software

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task projects

  • Ability to answer a heavy volume of phone calls from both internal and external customers

  • Must be detail-orientated problem solver

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Technician's role is to provide quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds Company standards of excellence and customer expectations.
