We are currently seeking a Warehouse worker for Beacon Roofing Supply that will load, unload, and move materials in the warehouse, yard, or work site in the Dallas, TX Branch.


  • Participates in manually loading orders on outgoing trucks by repetitive lifting of up to 100 lbs.

  • Forklift certified

  • Organize and build orders

  • Participants in the proper unloading of materials to roof by repetitive lifting or using conveyor at job sites.

  • Assists customers in loading vehicles.

  • Count, verify and manually unload incoming orders and shipments.

  • Maintain inventory in appropriate/designated storage areas in warehouse.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be a self-starter, dependable and a team player.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Here's more of what you will get to do: * Be responsible for the architecture and design of enterprise Data Warehouse processes while providing technical leadership for Data Warehouse implementation, with design and development standards. * Be responsible for the prompt, courteous and efficient management of all support requests to the Data Warehouse team, including ad-hoc data analysis requests. * Design and develop Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes to acquire and load data from internal and external sources. * Be accountable for all aspects of the data warehouse processes including project management, data modeling, ETL, data validation and implementation. * Document and maintain business definitions, data dictionary and data mapping. * Lead day to day tasks for a small data warehouse team * Evaluate current data analysis strategies and work with a team in developing recommendations and improvements. * Provide support to users in training and education on available data tools as required. Qualifications Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. * 7+ years of experience in Information Technology with at least 5+ years in Data Warehouse applications. * 5+ years of experience with the BI/DW lifecycle components including Source Data Analysis, ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Data Mining. * 3+ years proven experience in managing and executing data warehouse initiatives along with providing project management/process support to IT teams. * 3+ years of experience supervising staff. * Microsoft SQL Server Database, Integration Services, DBA Certification desired * Expertise with ETL applications like SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc. * Experience with Big Data technologies like HADOOP, HIVE, etc. * Experience in coding technologies like Python, Java, PHP, SQL * Experience as a SQL Server DBA, as well as experience with Big Data technologies and Real-Time Integration methodologies is strongly preferred * Significant experience with data modeling skills (conceptual, logical and physical model design, Operational Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts) * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts into comprehensible business terminology * Strong organizational and planning skills and process orientation * Commitment to excellence in service, performance, and execution * Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment while effectively managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously as well as produce high-quality end to end solutions for complex data problems Benefits: This position offers industry-leading benefits including; medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, tuition reimbursement and a sabbatical after five years of employment for qualifying staff members.
