Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery.


  • Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.

  • Organizes shipment priorities, such as UPS, commercial carrier, daily, job site and will call and stages the orders in uniform fashion for ease of loading and verification.

  • Assists in loading the delivery truck.

  • Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.

  • Locates manufacturer's packing list, verifies receipt of each item listed, signs and attaches packing list to each bill of lading.

  • Signs and dates freight bill noting all adjustments and/or damage to product and reports any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person.

  • Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.

  • Moves all inventory into allocated spaces within warehouse.

  • Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.

  • Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.

  • Processes returns accurately.

  • Attends product knowledge meetings as required by management.

  • Assists in keeping facility secure. Ensures all equipment is stored at end of day and all doors and gates are secured.

  • Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Prior experience in distribution or warehousing preferred.

  • Ability to maneuver heavy objects, some weighing up to 100 pounds.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Prior forklift experience.

Acts in alignment with construction needs to support the project. Responsible for admins, warehouse personnel, and services. * This position is not available for visa sponsorship Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Develop work schedules and assign work to team. * Review and approve timecards for correct hours and phase coding. * Responsible for the physical receipt, inspection and documentation of incoming/outgoing project told and equipment. * Responsible for completing the project specific Management Procedure. * Manages and allocates warehouse space and laydown areas, ensures proper housekeeping is maintained and inventory counts are completed as needed. * Ensures all materials are received, inspected, stored, maintained and issued in a timely and compliant manner. * Trains employees on proper receiving, storage and maintenance procedures. * Liaisons with appropriate procurement personnel to ensure timely delivery of project tools and equipment. * Manages the OS&D process with supply vendors and coordinates with procurement as needed. * Ensures proper creation, filing, and dissemination of all Material related paperwork. * Ensures preventive maintenance is tracked and completed on a timely basis to support warranty protection if applicable. * Monitors the collection of surplus, scrap and salvageable materials and assist in disposal. * Tracks materials returned to vendor. * Responsible for metric reporting on inventory, issues, location, OS&D's, Preventive Maintenance, Equipment Usage, Receiving and Spare Parts. * Ensures field compliance with appropriate corporate and field specific procedures that insure that sound equipment and tool management and business practices are maintained. * Provide supervision, training development, and performance management of direct reports. * Identify and assess improvement opportunities and champion continuous improvement efforts. Supports, encourages and facilitates others to engage in continuous improvement activities. * Supports efforts of program manager. * Supports inventory system. * May use forklift as needed. * Work with professionals to set goals annually, provide continuous improvement feedback, and complete evaluations at mid-year and end of the year.. Ensure that subordinates are qualified to perform their work as it relates to their level. * Lead all safety related processes and programs as requested. Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries. Understand that no job is so important that your safety and that of your crew will be compromised. Watch for hazards and report any concerns to your supervisor or safety professional. If needed, use your stop work authority until the issue is resolved. * Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor and/or safety manager; participate in investigation process as needed. * Lead all pre-job work planning and safety discussions. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate and/or mitigate hazards. * Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices (i.e. back-up alarms, smell of smoke, different colored warning tags, warning sirens). * Understand, support, and follow lockout tag out procedures. Attend training and assure you follow all procedures as out lined in training. * Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. * Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately. * Listen to and evaluate workers suggestions, safety concerns, and recommendations giving full attention to what they are saying and take the time to understand the points being made, asking questions and providing feedback when appropriate. * Provide on‐the‐job training and/or mentoring to all professionals. * Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards. * Have ability to read and understand schematics. Minimum Qualifications Continued from Duties and Responsibilities: * Inspect work for compliance with industry standards. Point out deficiencies, explain them, and take corrective action needed. * Observe functioning of equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Utilize safety stop work authority as needed. * Examine/inspect conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed reporting any issues to your supervision. * If certified to operate equipment ensure that equipment is correctly operated, maintained, in good working order, and Daily Equipment Inspections are completed for equipment being used. * Comply with Company Code of Conduct and jobsite policies. * Perform all other actions necessary to accomplish the foregoing principal duties and accountabilities. * Work in other areas appropriate to training and skills as requested by supervision. * Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: * At least 10 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar work environment and a strong working knowledge of warehouse and receiving. At least 5 years working as a manager or supervisor. Must have working knowledge of and experience in material shipping, receiving and handling, inventory management, preparation of material for field installation, and the issuance of materials, tools, and equipment * Valid Driver's License * All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
