Shift Requirements 1st Shift About The Opportunity

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the timely movement of materials by operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the facility.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to employees by demonstrating ORBIS standards and expectations on a daily basis

  • Perform daily tasks of production employees as needed

  • Accurate completion of daily paperwork

  • Provide accurate inventory reporting

  • Provide information to Service Center Manager on quality or inventory issues

  • Operate forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the facility

  • Follow and reinforces all safety rules and policies

  • Assist manager in achieving budgeted financial goals for service center

  • Follow proper procedures to handle employee incidents and to initiate customer complaints

  • Ensure all employees are meeting job level expectations and requirements as well as following all ORBIS policies

  • Motivate and train team members to meet team goals and uphold performance standards

  • Effectively communicate daily reporting requirements

  • Maintain all facility equipment

Education / Certifications

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Education Desired

Associate's Degree

Skills & Experience

Work Experience Required
2-3 years of related experience in distribution, container management, manufacturing and/or reverse logistics

Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

  • Ability to operate forklift - must maintain company approved Forklift Operator's license

  • Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications

  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance

  • Effectively communicate in English one-on-one and in small group situations

  • Ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Ability to use MS Office, especially Word and Excel

  • Basic financial knowledge to understand budgets

  • Bi-Lingual skills preferred

Additional Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, barrel cart, hand trucks, fork lift, utility knife, and mixer/blender machinery and computer equipment

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.

VIEW JOBS 6/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-09-04T00:00 Job Overview Warehouse associates are responsible for all incoming and outgoing products and orders. Your position requires you to inspect pallets to ensure the product matches the SKU. Diligent inventory management and reporting are required to ensure accuracy at all times. You are responsible for following proper invoicing and pick-up protocol and are responsible for safely assisting clients with loading their orders. Duties * Maintain organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment * Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and assist with corporate inventory counts * Report any inventory discrepancies to branch manager * Assist customers with loading and unloading their vehicles and follow proper invoicing protocol * Follow proper receiving protocol, including thorough product inspections * Maintain warehouse breakage list and report to branch manager weekly * Inspect forklifts and other warehouse equipment daily and report any issues to management * Communicate with customer service staff regarding any order discrepancies or issues * Ensure cleanliness, organization, proper signage and stock in Factory Outlet (if applicable) * Ensure cleanliness, organization, proper signage and stock of slab yard (if applicable) * Assist clients with questions about products or orders * Pull stock orders and branch transfers and process in timely manner * Uphold all warehouse safety protocol and instruction * Attend all safety meetings and help to conduct safety inspections * Maintain high level of customer service and professionalism at all times * Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management * Work cooperatively in team environment * Work within the framework of the company's defined policies, procedures, goal, and directives. * Any other duties required of this position Please note: in some of our locations, there may be a crossover of duties among Warehouse Associate, Customer Service, and/or Showroom Sales Representative positions.
