Pay: $11.00

Shift:1st Shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Pay: $12.00

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Packagers are hand laborers who work in warehouses to put together packages. They might assemble packaging like boxes or crates, label and record what is packed, inspect packaging for tears, cracks and dents, and make sure the materials inside are packed in a way to minimize breakage during transit.

Packagers are responsible for cleaning packaging materials, loading items into containers, and weighing and labeling the items appropriately. They also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all working items make it to the loading area or inventory, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments.

Job Duties:

  • Packaging cold meats repeatedly that are sealed in plastic bags through an assembly line that is high speed.
  • Standing 8 to 10 hour shift, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs VERY COLD ENVIRONMENT 30 degrees
  • Attend to current needs of the process by responding immediately to the expressed orders of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Foreman.
  • Contribute to production operations by complying with policies and procedures for meat processing; Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations, etc.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
