The Role

Landsberg Orora located in Newark, Ca. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store and distribute material and products within our establishment by performing various warehouse functions and using manufacturing equipment.   • This position will report to the: Warehouse Supervisor

  • Travel Requirement: 0-10 % of Travel Required/Frequency

  • FLSA Status: Non-exempt

What You'll be Responsible For in this Role

  • You will be responsible for accurately reading and processing customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.

  • Safety: We believe in safety first. You will be responsible to adhere to and champion our best-in-class safety standards by ensuring all industrial equipment is inspected and meets all minimum safety standards daily. Inspecting items such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, etc. We believe in keeping our equipment in peak operating condition.

  • Verify and audit our SAP system and documents for accuracy; Ensure that all paperwork submitted is reflective of your best work.

  • Product Storage and Movement: Convey material and items from receiving or production areas - to storage or to other designated areas safely and timely. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code. Your safety skills are essential with everything you do!

  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to the shipping department and may load material onto a truck. Accuracy is key to exceed customer expectations.

  • Inventory management: Counting items/products to ensure conformance to company standards and customer expectations.

  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. Marks materials with identifying information. Records the amount of materials or items received or distributed to ensure an efficient warehouse operation.

  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested

What We're Looking For

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years' experience in warehouse environment

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.

  • Ability to operate various warehouse tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with manufacturing machinery; Stackers, Pressers, Corrugating, Folders, Cutters, Gluers, Forklifts

  • Forklift certified a plus

The Role Landsberg Orora is seeking an experienced Class A Driver to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel power tractor trailer combinations, truck or van to: 1) transport 2) pick up and 3) deliver products, or materials in loose packages. This position will report to the: Operations Manager Location: Newark, CA Travel Requirement: 80 - 100% of Travel Required/Frequency FLSA Status: Non - exempt What You'll be Responsible For in this Role In this role you'll be responsible for the following: * Drives trucks to various destinations approx. 15-20 stops daily * Maintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage; ensuring safety is your number one priority * Maintains truck log, per state and federal regulations * Inspects truck equipment and suppliers such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water * Drives vehicle to transport items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipment Pickup/Delivery * Maintains phone contact with supervisor and/or dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery instructions * Prepares receipts and collects payment for good delivered and for delivery charges when required * Loads and unloads truck * Picks up product at customers and suppliers, checks delivered product and quantities for accuracy * Has inspection authority to release product prior to delivery Shipping and Receiving * Operates auxiliary equipment mounted on trucks such as hydraulics, hoists, etc. * Conveys material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas – using dedicated machinery * Sorts and places materials or items on racks shelves, or bins per predetermined sequence such size, type, style, color or product code. * Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items * Marks materials with identifying informatio and records the amount of materials or items received or distributed * Use computer to enter records * Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.
