Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking motivated Warehouse Associate II - 2nd shift - Aftermarket in Valley City, Ohio, 20 miles southwest of Cleveland. The Warehouse Associate II could be responsible for some or all of the tasks listed

The Warehouse Associate II could be responsible for some or all of the tasks listed below. The individual could be responsible for supplying work cells and customer order processing areas with product to complete work required and meet customer demands. Picking product is completed by using an RF device on an order picker truck at heights up to nineteen feet.

Tasks (Description of main tasks):

  • Maintain productivity standards

  • Accurately pick product as system directed by SAP EWM using an RF device

  • Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment

  • Transfer packaging inventory in an undirected mode for production areas

  • Adhere to company safety regulations

  • Clean assigned areas daily and abide by 5S standards

This position could also be tasked to assist Warehouse Associate I with the following:

  • Package and label parts per customer instructions, ensuring documentation is accurate

  • Maintain customer order progress through SAP EWM (Warehouse management system)

  • Responsible for processing orders or packing products per KPI (Key Performance Indicators) requirements

  • Maintain production order accuracy while exhibiting cooperation and communication skills

  • Perform self-inspections while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices

  • Know and understand the specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contributes to the achievement of the quality objectives

  • Receive production order requirements from boxing lead and complete orders as required by production standards

  • Prepare incoming skids by cutting open cases, removing trash and making case boxes

In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by his/her superior that are essentially related to his/her duties.

Formal prerequisites for the position (e.g. training, experience, education etc.)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Strong computer skills and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to pay significant attention to detail, self-motivated, ability to function as a team member in a group environment, and communicate with all levels of the department and organization

  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, and move up to 60 lbs. repetitively

  • Use team lift approach as a temporary measure for heavy or bulky objects

  • Dexterity to assemble component parts and boxes

  • Previous warehouse and material handling experience

  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner

  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment

  • Prior experience driving an Order Picker or Reach Truck
