Homans Associates LLC, a subsidiary of Watsco, Inc a publicly traded company, is looking for a Warehouse Associate for our Medford, MA location. Homans Associates is a leading distributor of HVAC equipment and supply products with locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey.
The Warehouse Personnel shall report to the Branch Manager. He/she shall perform any one or a combination of duties required in unloading, storing, marking, assembling or loading materials as may be directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Gather materials for orders and assemble correctly for shipment Package and mark materials for shipment
Check materials against orders and initials "Assembled By" block on Order Form
Help overcome shortages, consult Manager concerning possible materials to be substituted to complete orders.
Report damaged products found in stock to the Manager
Operate material handling equipment as assigned (mainly a forklift).
Keep warehouse clean at all times. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, and other debris from storage areas
Report low or out of stock items to the Manager
Observe all warehouse safety regulations
Maintain a neat and orderly appearance in compliance with the Company dress code
Maintain a good and harmonious working relationship with fellow employees
Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Education and/or Experience
High school degree or equivalent
Knowledge of warehouse operations procedures.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in the operations of material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, ladders, and rolling stairs).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as is required in basic math concepts.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
