Position Purpose: Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift, fabrication, counter, or may have a generalized role working in all departments. Responsibilities include:

  • Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.

  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles.

  • Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets.

  • Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

  • Verify computations against physical count of stock.

  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.

  • Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to installers and subcontractors.

  • May drive truck to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations or operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned. We are looking for candidates with:

Job Summary Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator/Associate is responsible for the set up and operation of equipment which blends/mixes/packages/transports the liquid or dry chemicals that comprise our customer products. The Production Operator/Associate ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible costs while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with PolyOne Corporation policies and procedures. Essential Functions * Demonstrates & meets qualification on blending, packaging, weighing operations & fork lift. * Demonstrates team work in all phases of operation. * Sets up and starts all machines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing or packaging procedures. * Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts into machinery. * Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. * Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues. * Operates machinery to mix, discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures. * Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards. * May take samples of materials to lab for evaluations and instructions. * Refers issues/problems to lead/supervisor for disposition. * Performs all required machine cleaning * Completes and maintains all required computer inputs. * Responsible for data integrity. * Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc. * Participates in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods. * Maintains departmental housekeeping standards. * Supports the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company. * Follows all rules, laws and procedures related to HS&E, ISO and other regulations. * Other projects/duties as assigned or needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience * US High School diploma or GED equivalency * Six (6) months to one (1) year of industrial/manufacturing experience Additional Qualifications * Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/materials. * Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skill to weights, measures of volume and distance. * Must effectively communicate in writing and verbally in English. * Competency in computer and PC software including email, internet, and MS office. * Must have manual dexterity for hand tools of various types. * Must be able to drive fork lift. * Must have problem solving skills and some mechanical aptitude.
