As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes.

  • Perform material handling and warehousing functions as required.

  • Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies.

  • Operating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receiving.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6 months previous distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Experience with operation of materials handling equipment.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations):

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.

  • Infrequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Work at heights of up to 20 feet from the floor.

  • Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.

  • Walk squat and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes.

Additional Information:

  • This position may require weekend overtime work.

VIEW JOBS 12/8/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-08T00:00 The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership of assigned team to ensure the team safely and efficiently performs the activities related to the assembly of Caterpillar generator sets. Team Leaders report to Section Managers and will be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands. This position will perform duties assigned within the Assembly department including but not limited to: * Provide leadership and assist with the training of Production Technicians * Ability to fill any position and complete any task within assigned team * Aligning and securing generator components as directed by work instruction * Aligning and installing gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components * Ensure that parts and materials used in the assembly process are free from quality defects * Assist other departments with problem solving or improvement ideas related to assembly * Performs duties assigned within the Quality department including but not limited to: * Provide leadership and assist with the training of Production Technicians * Ability to fill any position and complete any task within assigned team * Verifying correct alignment of generator components using generator and electrical schematics and part prints * Inspect parts and materials to ensure they are free from quality defects * Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects * Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspection on all engines * Performs duties assigned within the Materials department including but not limited to: * Provide leadership and assist with the training of Production Technicians * Ability to fill any position and complete any task within assigned team * Shipping and receiving parts and verifying invoices to ensure inventory accuracy * Ensure that materials received and delivered are free from quality defects * Re-pack and arrange parts for warehouse storage or delivery to the assembly area * Operate forklifts and tuggers to move materials within the facility * Accurate and efficient delivery and removal of materials * Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards * Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions * Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area * All other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: * Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications * Basic Knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and applications * 1 year experience working in Manufacturing * Leadership or supervisory experience Additional Information: * This position may require weekend overtime work.
