Warehouse Assistant

Ellis Fire Suppression, Inc., a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, was established in 2005 and is based in Woburn, MA. We are a full-service contractor for the New England area, specializing in both water-based and chemical suppression systems, as well as fire alarms and extinguishers. Ellis has a 24-hour emergency response team, and our dedicated team is committed to providing excellence in fire protection.

As a result of growth, we are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant in our Woburn, MA location. This position will be responsible for delivering material and assisting the Warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

• Make deliveries daily into Boston and surrounding communities

• Receives and processes tools and material for the branch

• Assists in ensuring material is available for the shop

• Pulls material for each job in accordance with the Material list or verbal/written instructions

• Operates shop equipment accordance with safety requirements

• Reports problems and discrepancies to Management

• Always maintains a clean and orderly work area

• Assists the Shop Foreman as required

Job Qualifications

• Good mathematical skills with the ability to read a tape measure and add/subtract fractions

• Good communication, organizational, reading and time management skills

• Clean driving record

Certificates or Licenses:

• Must have a MASS DOT Health Card

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds by self and up to 100 pounds assisted (with another person or mechanical assistance)

• Ability to climbs ladders up to 6 feet

• Ability to drive a fork-lift

• Shop environment with exposure to outside elements during all seasons
