From your PASSION to ours
This position will assist the Assistant Plant Director in enhancing the operational functions, inventory management, and financial performance of the Dry Warehouse department; ensure the purchasing team orders and receives materials on time.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Supervise the purchasing activity of plant supplies
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving and storing dry warehouse materials which includes ensuring quality and quantity of received materials
Interview, select and train warehouse personnel
Track financial performance
Implement and follow SOPs
Conduct weekly/monthly inventories
Attend departmental meetings
Apply well-defined standards (costs, budgets)
Record performance data
Analyze and evaluate efficiency data and determine the negative or positive net effect
Implement corrective action plans
Responsible for coordinating with the Plant Buyer for the management of all receivables
Inspect physical conditions of warehouse and equipment; schedule required maintenance repairs or replacement as needed
Lead and control various inventory and equipment management parameters and implement corrective actions
Propose improvement plans
Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing or salvaging products or materials.
Scheduling personnel to maximize the department's capability while meeting needs of Packaging, Production and RSPC.
Organize technical means: Plan actions for preventative maintenance, cleaning, etc.
Apply any environmental regulations and ensure they are respected
Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed
Participate in analyzing occupational hazards
Take necessary measures when there is deviation from Quality policies related to dry warehouse storage

Requirements

Education
Experience
Previous manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
2 years experience in a management/supervisory role
Stable and dependable work history is required
Specialized Knowledge
Warehousing and purchasing functions directly related to a manufacturing facility
Agri-food industry technology and processes

Salary Description
