Provide administrative support and coordination to warehouse activities.
Generates and maintains files of shipping documents.
Enters shipping confirmations into Delta's system. May also enter shipping confirmations into the customer's system or notify the customer via e mail.
Schedules trucks for loading TL and LTL shipments.
Checks orders for accuracy before releasing for shipment.
Generates and checks shipping labels.
Performs inventory control functions such as counting and reporting.
Interfaces with other employees, customers and freight companies.
Incorporates and maintains safety observances, including but not limited to, use of all PPE, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.
May order office supplies, warehouse supplies and/or containers for customers.
May participate in daily production meeting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
