SECOND SHIFT

Provides administrative support for the Shipping and Receiving Department. Maintains ongoing shipping data and accumulated spreadsheet data/records. Retains and continues to develop Departmental tracking information and sustain appropriate spread sheets with current updated data. Continues to develop appropriate computer systems and maintains data transfers to consolidated Computer software in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other related duties may be required and assigned.

  • Organize, prioritize, and schedules the departmental capture and flow of information.

  • Creates spreadsheets, composes e-mail messages, and manipulates software databases.

  • Performs as an overall information coordinator for the Shipping Office

  • Prepares statistical and written reports.

  • Assists in preparing presentations for management.

  • Composes professional documents.

  • Develops and maintains processes that monitor the progress and performance of the department relative to established goals and targets.

  • Informs the Director or Supervisor of known or anticipated problems.

  • Executes timely and clear communications of all types within and outside the department as well as with vendors and clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Familiar with Warehouse activities, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, logistics, food processing.

Ability to:

  • Recommend plans to improve productivity

  • Supervise all warehouse's daily activities

  • Prioritize tasks and balance a heavy workload

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma minimum, two year or four year degree in business or logistics area desired.
  • 1-2 years experience in a capacity as a shipping and receiving clerk/administrator /supervisor in a food processing or manufacturing environment, and 1-2 years experience in inventory control and reporting.

Physical/Safety Requirements:

  • Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.

  • Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
