About the Role & Program
The Walt Disney World Resort Disney Signature Experiences Communications Events is a service provider that champions the strategic development, planning, and execution of exemplary events to meet the diverse business needs of the Disney Experiences segment of The Walt Disney Company.
We are a team tasked with producing events that support Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Signature Experiences portfolios, inclusive of our Theme Parks, Water Parks, Resort Hotels, Disney Springs, as well as Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, and Storyliving by Disney!

This Intern is slated to be a collaborative partner that plans, develops, and produces sophisticated and high-profile physical and virtual events in support of the Disney Experiences segment! The individual's success will lie in their ability to demonstrate critical thinking and project management capabilities. Through close collaboration with internal and external partners, the intern will be a group collaborator in a team that develops events that drive outstanding results that align with business goals, objectives, and strategies.
What You Will Do
Be a collective participant in the conceptualization of events, programs, and business-driving projects
You will collaborate with both internal and external partners to help develop and implement a varied level of events
Provide on-the-ground support throughout the event development process including event execution
We establish collaborations across the company that represent a vast array of teams
You will make valuable contributions to the success of the team by assisting in developing, updating and prioritizing key project/event planning documents such as agendas, achievements, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations, and more
Required Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for someone who has project management skills and can help evolve the overall vision of a project with key partners to deliver results
You blossom in building new relationships and openly share thoughts and ideas
You are a quick learner who enjoys adopting new challenges big and small
You can identify a need and serve up your efforts to elevate a solution to the need
You are curious about the magic that goes into producing a Disney event
You should have strong proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office and the capability to learn new and existing software programs & applications
You should possess excellent written and verbal communication proficiency
You are proficient with technology and willing to work with multiple forms of communication (i.e., Slack, Teams, Google Docs, etc.)
You are flexible, as schedules could occasionally include nights or weekends
You can meet physical demands for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
This intern should have a passion for the Disney brand and culture
You possess knowledge and experience working within the events space
You demonstrate a curiosity about the current media landscape and how it drives reputation and business results
You exhibit a desire to participate in creative storytelling through event design and guest experiences
Education

Pay
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025.
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
