POSITION: Campbell Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law Public Service Fellow

DEPARTMENT: Raleigh Law School

STATUS: Full Time, Temporary

SUMMARY

The Public Service Fellow would work under the supervision of the Director of Student Life and Pro Bono Activities. We have dramatically expanded the reach of the law school into the community with ten distinct and well-defined pro bono projects, and we have several more on the drawing board. This Fellow would assist administratively with running our existing programs, organizing the necessary trainings, participating in the various field activities, and helping our students in the design of new projects.

In addition to supporting the pro bono program, the Public Service Fellow would also assist with Student Life activities and events. Major events include the Everett Gala, Iredell Banquet, Law Day, and the CPILSA Silent Auction.

Prior experience with event planning is helpful, but not required. The Public Service Fellow would also be responsible for maintaining the Campbell Law Life Twitter account.

Finally, the Public Service Fellow would, from time to time, assist the legal efforts of Campbell Law's newly formed Community Law Clinic on legal matters that arise within the clinic.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2018 Campbell University graduate of the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

  • Successfully passed the N.C. state bar exam.
