Set up dining room for meal service.
Routinely, takes food and beverage orders, serves customer, and collects payment.
Answer customer queries
High school completion or equivalent certification.
Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized restaurant point-of-sales (POS) systems.
Working knowledge of basic mathematics is preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written, with customers, employees and management.
Ability prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to accuracy and detail, while working in a team or group environment.
One year of experience in positions involving serving, customer service, or bussing.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Frequently required to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to regularly lift a minimum of 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to transport a minimum of 35lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. A
Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products processes within the restaurant and hotel.
Ability to write and read reports and purchase orders.
Ability to communicate with groups of customers and/or employees and to solve problems.
Current TAMS card is required.
To serve alcoholic beverages, a minimum age of 21 is required for this position.
Must have a valid Alaska Food Handlers card.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
