Summary:

Help Residents have a pleasant Dining Room experience. Serve food and beverages and bus tables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
include, but are not limited to:

  • Assure tables are set properly prior to mealtime.

  • Greet Residents by name as they enter the dining room.

  • Assist Residents in locating a seat with people they enjoy dining with.

  • Receive mobility assistive devices and place them away from the table areas. Return the devices to the Resident(s) when

the Resident is ready to leave the dining room.

  • Take food orders from the Residents.

  • Know each residents diet and encourage resident to make healthy decisions when ordering meals.

  • Inform Residents of available food selection if they are unable to read the menu.

  • Serve beverage of choice to each Resident.

  • Serve food to Resident(s).

  • Offer second helpings to Residents who may desire more food.

  • Keep water glasses filled.

  • Offer coffee or tea and dessert to the Residents.

  • Clear tables at end of meal and set tables for the next meal.

  • Help in dish room; run dishwasher and put away clean dishes when needed.

  • Complete Side-Work properly each shift.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

  • Attend all meetings and in services.

  • Work schedule as assigned by Supervisor.

  • Paid hourly rate - acceptance of tips is strictly prohibited and will result in termination.

Requirements

  • All waitstaff and kitchen staff must wear restaurant grade non-slip shoes.

Qualifications:

Friendly personality. Ability to keep things organized. Enjoys working with older adults. Experience with waiting tables preferred.

VIEW JOBS 3/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-13T00:00 Purpose This position is responsible for providing legal services to the Office of Community Services in support of the 1K-in-10 Initiative and other associated programs and partnerships that address blight, abandoned and/or substandard properties and conditions that negatively impact the quality of life in neighborhoods. Essential Job Functions * Provides legal expertise and services to assist the Office of Community Services and associated partners for the acquisition, improvement, redevelopment and/or sale of property for residential and neighborhood retail purposes * Works in collaboration with the Real Estate Specialist to develop, compile, prepare, coordinate and review property data, legal correspondence, legal advertisements, invitations to bid and other work products related to Community Services neighborhood redevelopment initiatives. * Develops and recommends processes and procedures that comply with laws, ordinances and regulations; works with 1K-in-10 team to review and streamline preparation of cases; reviews case files; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed. * Assists City staff and program partners in understanding laws, procedures, respective powers, functions, rules and regulations. * Attends meetings; prepares and conducts presentations; responds to inquiries, issues and complaints. * Provides legal services to facilitate the redevelopment of properties, including: preparation of wills, clearing cloudy titles, In Rem property tax foreclosure to sell tax delinquent property, filing bar of redemptions, undertaking quiet title actions, and In Rem code enforcement or similar actions to recover blighted property expenditures and eminent domain cases to remedy blight. * Cooperates and collaborates with the City Attorney's Office; seeking legal guidance; sharing legal reviews, arguments and case files; assisting in court regarding violations of City ordinances, eminent domain actions, etc. * Conducts legal research; studies, interprets and applies statutes, ordinances, court decisions and legal opinions in the preparation of opinions, pleadings and briefs. * Makes recommendations in collaboration with the Real Estate Specialist and other key staff and partners concerning the advisability of pursuing different options related to redevelopment activities. * Appears in court and administrative proceedings to represent the City's interests as required. * Drafts, reviews and recommends proposed legislation, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, pleadings, agreements, forms and policies. * Researches, monitors and reviews various publications and documents, such as professional journals, case law, legal briefs, recently proposed or enacted legislation, and legal correspondence to stay abreast of current and future legal requirements or trends. * Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals in support of neighborhood redevelopment, including persons in law enforcement, code enforcement, human services, real estate services, housing and neighborhood services, economic development, housing developers, non-profit organizations and businesses. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and law degree from an accredited law school, college or university and three years of professional experience in the practice of law and administrative duties in state, municipal, real estate, delinquent property tax, quiet title, title clearing, eminent domain, code enforcement and/or community redevelopment law, or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferred Experience: Current membership in the State Bar Association of Georgia. Substantial experience managing a large number of cases, preparing pleadings, conducting dispositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations, court cases and trials; conducting legal research and writing; preparing and reviewing contracts and legislation; data analysis, database utilization and management; and researching and addressing public policy issues. Additional Requirements Membership in the State Bar Association of Georgia within twelve (12) months of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license. Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
