The Assistant Manager has the responsibility at the management level for the day-to-day compliance with agency procedures and operations, as well as general management of agency clerical support staff, automation management, and overseeing the customer service and marketing operations.
Lead the development and maintenance of Management Procedures.
Provide each employee the procedures and the importance there adherence.
Continuously up-date the work flow procedures to reflect changes in computer capabilities, internal changes or changes in business strategy.
Conduct periodic quality control checks of the internal procedures and controls.
Provide recommendations for improvement, indicate new areas of concern, identify individuals or groups who have demonstrated high quality standards.
Review file components, arrangement, and retention.
Review of documentation procedures: telephone messages, Conversation Form, correspondence both within EPIC and paper files.
Communicate to all agency staff all changes in company programs and products, management, procedures or rating with regard to both Personal and Commercial Lines.
Act as in house insurance advisor to all CSRs on technical, and agency company relationships.
Licensed for Property and Casualty
Adhere to agency procedures that enforce E&O controls, integrity of data to the EPIC efficient use of resources and an equitable distribution of workload among all staff members.
Attend periodic sales meetings when requested to discuss current market conditions as well or to provide input to sales strategy.
Attend sponsored seminars and educational activities required to maintain product knowledge, underwriting expertise and agency procedural and computer proficiency as well as state continuing education requirements.
College education or equivalent insurance experience P&C Insurance License
Thorough knowledge of the State Insurance Laws
Thorough knowledge of all P&C coverage definitions.
Proficient understanding of EPIC, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Three or more years management experience.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Able to organize, coordinate and direct work flow.
Able to use all related hardware and software.
