Job Description:

The WAE accountant is responsible for the auditing and reconciliation for state and federal grant funds.

Job Responsibilities:

Manages business operations for multiple accounts to include the reconciliation of the ledgers & extraction of pertinent information for discussion with PIs & funding agencies. Manages all post-award grant expenditures through the auditing & reconciliation of account ledgers regarding procurement, travel, LaCarte & other expenditures by maintaining new department accounting system to ensure data accuracy. Prepares accounting adjustments and journals as needed. (90%)

Assist with departmental submission of expense reports. Other duties as assigned. (10%)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
