The Department of Veterans Services (DVS) is seeking a qualified candidate to review, evaluate, and approve education and training programs for the enrollment of veterans and other eligible persons seeking education and training benefits from the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs under the Montgomery and Post 9/11GI Bills.

The State Approving Agency conducts compliance surveys at all facilities that have at least one Veteran/dependent enrolled to verify enrollment data, awards actions and previous payment for accuracy and to ensure that payments made to eligible Veterans and their dependents are in keeping with USDVA and federal regulations. This position will require extensive day and overnight travel.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleges/universities, private career schools and vocational schools' administrators, local/state/federal government officials and business owners/operators. Advanced skills in planning, analysis, and decision making.

Advanced oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively use software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Ability to independently manage an assigned region.

Ability to independently manage a high volume of work. Ability to work in a team environment. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in administration, law, vocational education or other related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing federally-funded programs, including interpreting and implementing federal regulations and managing budgets.

Description As a Resident District Manager you will provide overall vision, planning, direction, and control to assigned units for a defined account. Qualifications We are seeking a candidate with a demonstrated rapid career progression and 5+ years management experience in a multi-unit role. Total managed volume of 10 million dollars or more, and P/ L management experience in the hospitality industry is desired. Contract-managed, restaurant, or retail service experience is desirable.
