Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex set ups, edits and operate established and NPI jobs with minimal supervision ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements. Make modifications or adjustments as necessary.

  • Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gage, height gage, and verniers.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets.

  • Familiar with Lean practices, 6S, and contributing to a continuous improvement environment.

  • Follow all safety requirements regarding machine operation including proper guarding.

  • Work flexible hours and overtime to meet customer deadlines and commitments.

  • Meet customer production scheduling requirements.

  • Work with engineering department regarding material conditions, best positioning of part, tool pressure, etc. as required.

  • Detect faulty operations and materials and report these along with other problems to immediate supervisor.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.

  • Provide training to others as required.

Primary Responsibilities: Role Overview Plan, layout, set-up, prepare, and perform all machining, assembly, inspection, and fabrication to maintain the flow of work and directly support the manufacture of environmental control system components while practicing and complying with environmental, health and safety directions and procedures. DUTIES: * Plan, set-up, program and operate a variety of conventional and cnc/nc equipment to perform machining operations. * Plan, set-up and perform a variety of quality control processes such as non-destructive testing, first piece qualifications, dimensional and visual inspection, and calibration of gages and instrumentation. * Recommend and implement process and workflow improvements to maintain deliveries to customer requirements. * Plan sequence of operation and participate in preparing or modifying work instructions. * Participate in selecting, modifying, and making less complex tooling and equipment to meet new or special requirements. * Set-up and operate coordinate measuring equipment to perform various dimensional inspections. * Perform preliminary review. Determine material disposition, recommend and implement corrective action for nonconforming product. * Collect, analyze and interpret data to recommend process or design improvements. * Instruct fellow employees in the proper performance of duties. * Improve processes and solve problems with fellow employees and technical support group. * Perform periodic maintenance and minor repair of equipment. * Participate in audits of processes, procedures, and work flow. * Move parts to designated location to maintain the flow of work. * Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized. * Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function. Education Section: * High School Diploma or GED required Qualifications Sections: Basic Qualifications: * 3-5 years to meet minimum requirements.
